Plot plans for permits, drawn to your city checklist.

Delivered in 12 to 24 hours

Questions about plot plan for permit in Texas

Straight answers to what Texas owners and contractors ask us most.

What is a plot plan for a building permit?

A plot plan is a scaled drawing of your lot showing property lines, existing buildings, the new work and the distances between them. Texas building departments use it to check setbacks, easements and lot coverage.

Is a plot plan the same as a site plan?

For most residential permits, yes. Cities use both names. Commercial site plans usually include more, such as parking, fire lanes and utilities.

Can I draw my own plot plan?

Some cities accept a homeowner sketch for small projects. Many reject plans that are not to scale or miss setbacks and easements, which is the most common reason for a resubmittal.

What do you need from me?

The property address, your survey or plat if you have one, and a short description of the work with its size and location on the lot.

How fast can I get a plot plan?

Most residential plot plans are delivered in 12 to 24 hours after we confirm the details.
